We know our community thrives when we support the needs of the movers and shakers that live here.

That’s why we’re thrilled to announce a new partnership with our friends over at the Monterey County Business Council (MCBC) to support small businesses + entrepreneurs in Monterey County that face challenges to having their own office space.

Together, MCBC + TPW will subsidize up to 50% off on:

Or a mix of all three, up to a total of $500 in discounts per applicant!

Overview: How does this work?

Here’s how it will work:

  • Interested parties can apply for funding
  • If your application is approved, you’ll get access to a personal discount code
  • You can use the personal discount code for 50% off on your booking or membership to The Pearl Works, up to a total of $500 in discounts.

Eligibility: Who should apply?

In an effort to aid businesses who have faced challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are prioritizing applicants who represent businesses owned by:

  • Women
  • Minorities
  • LGBTQ+
  • Veterans
  • People located in unincorporated areas of Monterey County

Please note:

  • This program is not available to people who work remotely for companies that are not based in Monterey County
  • This program is for people who are not already, and have never been previously, members at The Pearl Works
  • The Pearl Works is a fully vaccinated workspace, and requires proof of vaccination for anyone joining as a member.

These funds are available on a first-come first-served basis, so apply today!

Application expectations: How can I apply?

You can expect that this application process will take 1-2 weeks from application to approval.

Step 1: Apply 

Step 2: Hear back from MCBC

  • A member of the MCBC team will be in touch to confirm 

Step 2.5 (only if you are applying for an in-person membership):

  • If you apply for a subsidized membership, you will need to schedule an in-person tour with The Pearl Works prior to confirming your membership
  • A member of The Pearl Works team will be in touch to schedule your tour + confirm your membership

Step 3: Approval

  • After being approved, you will receive an email from us with your personalized booking discount code

Step 4: Booking + payment

  • You can use your personalized discount code to register for services on our website
  • Additional instructions will be provided by email

As you approach the end of your $500 subsidy, a member of our team will be in touch to discuss your options on how The Pearl Works can continue to support you and your business.
