Olga has been a member of The Pearl Works since February 2021. She is a woman with diverse interests in PR, Real Estate, and is learning Spanish. She is probably one of the most chill people I have ever met. I had the opportunity to ask her some questions and get to know her better… She is wonderful.

Alora: What is something people would never guess just by looking at you?

Olga: I’m actually secretly very funny. Upon first impression, I come off as serious, but once I feel like I know someone well enough, I let them in on my standup comedian alter-ego.

What is one of your superpowers?

According to my husband, I’m a master of getting refunds and discounts when none are available. Most recently, I got an airline to pay for my flat tire (random, right?). It’s probably a bit of a cringe superpower, but I keep telling myself that my real estate clients need this skill to be sharp!

What book are you currently reading?

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. One of the other Pearl Peeps (hi, Nick!) brought it up during our book club discussion (we were reading The Good Life), so I got super intrigued! It’s about exploring the choices we make and regrets that can define our life. I rarely read or watch anything fantasy, but the way it related to our conversation helped me open up my mind to it.

How has being a part of The Pearl Works impacted your life?

There’s so much to say about the thoughtfulness, comfort, and beauty of the space itself, which has impacted my physical and mental health greatly in the best way over the past year. I get outside every day, I see the sun, I chat and laugh, and bounce ideas off of others.

However, most importantly, The Pearl Works is the reason I feel at home in Monterey. Not only because I’ve made so many great new friends here (I ADORE my fellow members), but also because it gives me a better understanding of our community as a whole, and my place in it.

What is something you love about Monterey and Why?

I just love the whole lifestyle here. Monterey spoils me with the convenience of living in a small town (everything I love is 5 minutes away) yet there are plenty of great things to do and gorgeous places to see.

Olga is a Dedicated Desk Member out of our Pod Desks on the main floor of our coworking space. She brings so much light to our daily lives and is here almost daily! I am grateful for the opportunity to share a taste of this incredible human with you. If you want to meet awesome people like Olga, book a tour and see if working from The Pearl Works is right for you.
