We love being rooted in the heart of historic Old Monterey — steps from great coffee, local eats, and the coastal breeze. But we know that parking downtown can sometimes feel like a puzzle. This guide is here to help you navigate your options with ease.
We have a small private lot, and daily spaces are limited. These tend to fill quickly — especially during peak hours — so we encourage most members and guests to explore nearby alternatives.
We have created a Google Map list with our go-to parking spots — including free and paid options within a 5–10 minute walk of The Pearl Works.
The most common choice? 2-hour street parking right around the building. For some, it’s a welcome excuse to take a quick break from work and enjoy a little sunshine as they take a walking break to move their car every couple of hours. For others, it can feel like a shuffle, especially on busy days or during meetings.
If you’d prefer a more consistent parking setup, we recommend looking into monthly or quarterly parking permits through the City of Monterey.
Several city-managed lots and garages are just a short stroll away and offer affordable, reliable options for regular visitors.
Permits can be purchased monthly, quarterly, or annually, with discounts available for longer terms.
To apply, visit the City of Monterey Parking Division or stop by their office at 340 Tyler Street.
